We can’t help but daydream about traveling to faraway exotic locations with our children all season long, to learn new languages, cultures, and skills. But as many New York families involve full-time working parents, taking these summer sabbaticals are simply out of the question.
But there are unique and empowering ways for children to have a culturally-rich summer, right here in Queens. Kings Combat Elmhurst is offering Martial Arts Summer Camp in 2025 that combines fun, discipline, and self-confidence—all in a supportive, price-accessible, inclusive environment.
What Makes This Camp Special?
This is an opportunity to create an enriching yet fun summer for Elmhurst and Queens kids. At Kings Combat, kids ages 5–14 will get hands-on training in Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, regardless of their prior experience. Through engaging drills, games, and teamwork exercises, campers will build not just physical strength—but also confidence, discipline, and leadership skills. Your child will learn the art of martial arts with roots in Thailand and Brazil, among other core styles. So, in a way, your child gets exposure to other cultural traditions every day. That’s the beauty of Queens, NY!
The program was created by Forest Hills mom and Kings Combat cofounder Jessica Ng:”As a mother and martial artist, I created this camp to give kids more than just a workout—I wanted to give them tools for life. When kids feel seen, supported, and strong, they walk taller. This camp is about more than punches and kicks—it’s about empowering our children to be proud of who they are.”
With daily snacks and drinks provided, and activities led by certified instructors, this camp offers a blend of structure and play that’s perfect for summer.
